To do Sisterlocks or not to do sisterlocks

Really debating on whether I wanna do sisterlock. Aug is perfect time
for me to get them. I just don't have time to do my hair and that would
be easier maintenance. Not to mention they are so cute and beautiful. Im
going to talk to some certified sisterlockers. I wonder how ill look
with them. Hope I they are very curly. Guess I should start preparing my
natural hair journey video

Cleaning ur Satin Cap

Just a tip. Remember to clean your satin cap like it is a piece of
clothing. Because it is. Product builds up on it and comes back on your
hair. Just hand was the cap in your sink with soap then let it hang dry
on a towel rack. This keeps your cap clean and fresh. Do it in morning
time so it is ready for wear by the evening for bed time.

Trying M.O.M = milk of magnesia

Im trying this for the 2nd time around. I have oily skin. Its bad. M.O.M is meant for those who suffer from excessive oil production. Do not use if you dont suffer from this as it will just dry out your skin. Today I washed my face with african black soap. I use witch hazel as a toner. I then with my finger put the M.O.M on. Next the oil free mario badescu moisturizer. Worked very well today and Im pleased. Im going to try this for a month and see how well it goes. but so far so good.

Puff Puff the Hair Dragon

The puff drawstring ponytail is an awesome protective style. As most natural divas know we must protect our ends to help our hair have otpimal growth. Well the puff is a great style and you can dress it up with hair accessories (http://www.shop.sugahighdepot.com/) or flat twists or a snooki hump. At night take your hair out of the ponytail holder or band and either twist or braid the loose hair. You do want to leave a ponytail holder in as it can cause breakage. Of course wear your silk scarf/bonnett at night. If you have a silk pillowcase by all means use that I wish I had one. I love the creativy that comes with natural hair styles. This puff I have is color 1B. I did dye my hair 1B in the back in the front where the hump is a reddish brown...I have been trying to get it strawberry blonde but that was an EPIC FAIL and another story. The puff pony drawstring is meant for those you can get their hair at least into a small pony tail so it has something to attach to. I personally stretched my hair. My hair is about 10 inches. People at work think this is my hair and I love that it looks natural on me. Ill keep playing the role that it is mine. The piece can be purchased at any hair store. I got mine in Norfolk, VA at Richway for $7.99 before tax.
